ck’s Winning Words 6/1/20
“I can breathe!”  (You and I)  The Declaration of Independence states that Americans have the rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.  These are human rights, given by the creator and are unalienable (cannot be taken away).  Breath is “life.”  Liberty has its restrictions in order to ensure the pursuit of happiness.  When unalienable rights are taken away, Americans have a right (duty) to protest.  Ultimately, the giver of “breath” will be the judge..  :-]  Jack

FROM BLAZING OAKS:  Springfield, Il had a 3,000 car protest parade Sunday afternoon! What a massive turnout, and so it should be, when such injustice transpires.  Can't imagine an officer
kneeing a person's neck until he dies. UNBELIEVABLE.  Our country is in deep trouble! The good people have had enough of such blatant police power. Even tho we know most officers are doing their best under very challenging circumstances, the few who lose  control and cause unnecessary deaths taint all the others! :-(===JACK:  To be able to protest is one of our American freedoms.

FROM FACEBOOK LIZ:  yes, peaceful protests are our right.  davenport is having to shelter in place tonight bc some people crossed the line last night, and violated our rights by looting, ambushing cops/one shot. two others dead from gang gunfire.  east st louis people were here, but they may have been released bc covid... they might get sick in jail. but cops are making the rounds of restaurants and bars to make sure people are social distancing.  the irony is lost on too many.===JACK:  The good life is meant to be lived orderly...Problems are cause by those who choose to live in a dis-orderly fashion.  A police force has been created to handle that...but even the police can become dis-orderly, too.  Life has its bunps...and some of them are jarring...
