Jack’s Winning Words 8/5/21

“What’s coming will come, and we’ll meet it when it does.”  (J K Rowling)  There are many proverbs which warn against looking too far into the future, such as Don’t count your chickens before they’re hatched.  Jesus said, Don’t be anxious. Your Father in Heaven knows what you need.  When it comes to the future, I tend to be optimistic rather than pessimistic…but when it comes right down to it, I say that it’s in the hands of God…Que sera, sera!  ;-)  Jack

FROM BLAZING OAKS:  It does absolutely no good to worry about what's coming, unless you can prepare for it. Common sense can guide you often! It seems every generation is worried that the world is "going to hell in a handbasket", when you read past history! These are chaotic times, but there have been worse!!  Pray and do your bit to lighten things in the little corner of your world!!===JACK:  I worry about the future of the Church....then, I realize that it's not MY Church.  God has been with His Church in the past.  He's with it in the present.  He'll be with it in the years to com Let God be God.===OAKS:  I think we are all concerned about what direction the church will take in the future; I think think most pastors will be bi-vocational soon, but as you say God is with his church people, no matter what form it takes!!===JACK:  I'm distressed when churches seem to misunderstand "freedom of religion" and try to use govt for their own political agenda.

FROM ST PAUL IN ST PAUL:  good one, Jack.    have no anxiety about anything but with prayer and supplication let your requests be made known unto God===JACK:  Sometimes it's difficult to shed our anxieties.  Didn't Jesus say, "Be not anxious?"  Was he blowin' in the wind?===SP:  I don't thinmk so.
