Jack’s Winning Words  4/7/20
“In love, one and one are one.”  (Jean Paul Sartre)  French philosopher Sartre writes that there is a certain madness in love.  People often desperately seek it, only to find that it isn’t what they expected it to be.  Authentic love is different…1+1=1.  That “love” is not dependent on what the other person does (or does not do).  It just is! (that’s philosopher talk).  So, today, examine your love relationships and try to see them as “our love just IS, rather than, our love depends on.”   ;-)  Jack

FROM MS AT AG:  I’m reading Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s In My Own Words & moved by what a wonderful marriage She & her husband had.....===JACK:  Ageism comes into play when we can't see Justice Bader Ginsburg as a woman experiencing love.

FROM PAIGE:  I hope you are well and hanging in there during this crazy season. Thank you for your continued emails. Take care!===JACK:  I hope that the level of care and concern being expressed these days is a "butterfly" after the "virus time" is a memory.

FROM SK IN SJ:  Good words again today. My Nicholas and I had that kinda love. It is the greatest kinda love. Love is an emotion that you can’t control. It just is. And it’s SO good. It warms the heart. Thank you for bringing those memories to life again for me!===JACK:  Bob Hope was famous for singing, "Thanks for the memories."  Sometimes we forget that memories are being made right now.

FROM GDJ IN WI:  LOVE and prayers to you old friend. Hope you're safe and holding your own in this time of global surrealism.  I think about the pandemonium upon Jesus' arrival in Jerusalem. Then, the pandemic of fear and envy that followed him all the way ===JACK:  They had plagues in Jesus' day, too.  Their reaction seems to have been..."Save us Lord!"

FROM GOOD DEBT JON:  In love, one heart is best, though sharing a brain has consequences sometimes.  ===JACK:  "If I only had a brain," sang Scarecrow in The Wizard of Oz.
