Jack’s Winning Words  4/10/20
“Yeah, it’s Good Friday, but Easter Sunday is coming!”  (Unknown)  Good news/bad news jokes were once popular.  “The Good News: Church attendance is the highest on Easter.  The Bad News: Churches will be closed this Easter.”  Today’s a Bad News/Good News story, and it’s no joke.  “The Bad News:  Jesus was crucified on Good Friday.  The Good News:  Jesus was resurrected from the dead on Sunday, Easter Sunday.  So--churches are closed…It’s still Easter!  Alleluia!   ;-)  Jack

FROM TRIHARDER:  "Happy Good Friday"?  Is that redundant?  Or is "Good  Friday" a sufficient greeting?"  I'm 69 years old, diverse friends from kindergarten through today. I just learned that Easter is only one day. I always thought that it was the entire holiday period.  So, it follows that Easter should be sufficient to describe the day; adding "Sunday" should be unnecessary. In any case, Have a Good Friday and wonderful Easter Sunday holiday. ===JACK:  If POTUS can connect Happy with Good Friday, I guess that you can, too.  One thing I appreciate about living in WB is that I can learn extra stuff about Judaism.  I hope that the same goes for you and Christianity.  I enjoy our conversations...and learn from them.
