Jack’s Winning Words 10/8/21
“Eating everything you want is not much fun.  When you live a life with no boundaries, there’s less joy.”  (Tom Hanks)  This year’s Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest winner ate 76 hot dogs in 10 minutes.  That shows what eating can be like with no boundaries.  Life works best with boundaries, like:  1. no1 b4 me. srsly.  2. dnt wrshp pix/idols  3. no omg’s  4. no wrk on w/end (sat 4 now; sun l8r)  5. pos ok – ur m&d r cool  6. dnt kill ppl  7. :-X only w/ m8  8. dnt steal  9. dnt lie re: bf  10. dnt ogle ur bf’s m8. or ox. or dnkey. myob.  Boundaries work best when explained in a way the intended audience can understand them.  I pretty much grew up with no parental boundaries, but I did know right from wrong.  What limits do you see as good for society…or for you?  ;-)  Jack

FROM FACEBOOK LIZ:  no matter how you state them, the first 10 suffice. the rest of the "boundaries" fall under one of those headings.. ===JACK:  Jesus was asked, "Which is the greatest of the commandments," and he replied that "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and you shall love your neighbor as you love yourself>"

FROM SHARIN' SHARON:  It was fun figuring out the 10 commandments in your WW this morning.  “Boundaries work best when explained in a way the intended audience can understand them.”  As I wrestle with boundaries, highest on the list is no 1 b4 me because especially with regards to worship of God and being in Church, the consequences are so drastic if any of us just goes our own way.  Just look at Judas, just look at the whole history of the Jews and the Church down through the ages.  This fall, decided to take the Daniel zoom Bible study with Pastor Walters of Church of the Master, just look at Nebaccadneser, Darius, Baltezzar, etc. etc. etc.  nope, have to pray and hope to choose the most faithful and credible and trustworthy leaders and go forward in a group and even then it’s with fear and trembling.  Actually, this is my most concerning thing with regards to boundaries.  Glad to have used your WW a bit to reflect on this human and spiritually urgent problem.  Thanks for generating WW.===JACK:  Worship. Bible Study and other Church activity are well and good...but I believe that Jesus gave us the best instruction, "to love God with our whole heart and, to love our neighbor as we love ourself."

FROM PAIGE:  Jack, this is impressive. It took me a bit to figure them all out and then recognize them. It made me smile!! I sure do appreciate you! 💕 ===JACK:  Sometimes I have fun with WWs.  Sometimes I use them to cause people to think...but there's always a reason couched in what I write.

FROM YOGA GURU:  Love God with your whole heart and soul, and your neighbor as yourself -  this is inclusive of SO many boundaries  : )===JACK:  I like this song from the 60's which asks the question..."When will they ever learn?" .

FROM DANDI SANDI:  Had to read this 2X to get it!!! Love it! So clever. Must have taken a while to type it!===JACK:  Who says that the clergy don't have a sense of humor?

FROM WILLMAR REV:  I've read somewhere, “for the moment all discipline (or as I would call it, 'boundaries') seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.” 0;-) ===JACK:  Jesus said, "I have not come to condemn the world (be a wet blanket), but I have come that the world might be a better place. ===REV:  No doubt, He was the Light of the world; however . . .  The best is yet to come!! 0;-)

FROM SAINT CHRIS:  Outstanding !!!!===JACK:  I'm happy when people like the stuff I write...and tell me about it.

FROM THE PILOT:  Maybe term limits Jack. Then people may do what is right instead of what helps only themselves. Just sayin ===JACK:  Term limits can be good or bad, depending on what/who you want to limit.  What do you think of term limits for pilots, or for pastors?
