Jack’s Winning Words 4/2/19
“One cannot and must not try to erase the past merely because it does not fit the present.”  (Golda Mier)  Golda was referring to a situation which affected Israel, but her words can apply to recent attempts in America to erase from school text books, historical events that don’t fit current political and social views.  Samuel Butler wrote: “God cannot alter the past, but historians can.”  The past is what it is!  Who among us wouldn’t want to do some editing of our past?   ;-)  Jack
