“Tradition is a guide and not a jailer.” (W. Somerset Maugham) In this season when neighbors express their traditions, which may be different from ours, it can be a time for learning. For me, it’s been the 7 principles of Kwanzaa and the meaning of the 8 lights of the menorah. My own tradition is the celebration of the Messiah’s birth. ;-) Jack
