JACK'S WINNING WORDS 8/29/06
“Everything I did in my life that was worthwhile, I caught hell for.” (Earl Warren) Warren was known for integrity and courage. He headed the U. S. Supreme Court when it made landmark decisions on segregation, civil rights, separation of church and state and police arrest procedure. Eisenhower, who appointed him, later said, “It was the biggest damn mistake I ever made.” Try to do the worthwhile thing, regardless of the consequences. ;-) Jack

Wondering if it is true that he didn't do the worthwhile thing in a vacuum, he must have had the support he needed, if not Eisenhower. Was the support he paid most attention to from little people or from big people or mainly what he discerned from God and God's Word? Thanks, Pastor Freed, for this encouraging word.
