Winning Words 10/3/12
“God cares about every little bitty, teeny tiny, itsy bitsy thing in your day.”  (Anon)  Willard Wigan is a micro-sculptor.  He has put 9 camels in a line in the eye of a needle.  That’s teeny tiny.  In the Bible we read that God knows when a little sparrow falls to the ground.  How about the mouse that I found on my driveway?  God knows what’s going on in your life and mine.  He cares about us   He really does!    ;-)  Jack

   FROM SAINT JAMES:  Thank goodness that God cares!////FROM JACK:  God is Good!

 FROM OUTHOUSE JUDY:  Thank you God!  There's a little song..."Everything was made by God, everything you see..."  We were in the U.P. last weekend and Gary made the statement,  "If you didn't believe in God before, you would after seeing this beautiful scenery."  The leaves were changing and the sun was shining and the colors were just beautiful.  If God cared enough to color the leaves so beautifully for us before they fell to the ground, you know He cares deeply for everything and everyone....especially the little mouse!////FROM JACK:  There are several writings about The Harvest Mouse that Google will show you.  Here's one that I like.  The Harvest Mouse is one of God's creations.
 You should see a harvest mouse,
Build herself a little house,
She scampers up the blades of wheat,
And weaves her nest so trim and neat.
She winds her tail around the stalks,
To keep her safe when up the walks,
She does not stop till all is done,
She thinks it's all tremendous fun!
Then she puts her babes to rest,
In her pretty little nest.
Then off she goes to find some grain,
To feed her babies once again.

 FROM MICHIZONA RAY:  I had a huge tarantula at my garage and front door last night! God must care about the BIG stuff too!////FROM JACK:  I'd rather have the dead mouse.  BTW, I like this verse from the Bible.  There is hope only for the living. As they say, "It's better to be a live dog than a dead lion!"  (Ecclesiastes 9:4)

FROM MEDD-O-LANE: Jack, I am not preaching my beliefs to anyone but I will put my thoughts out at times.  When God made all things He put Himself as a part of that creation.  Sort of like a gene in our soul.  Therefore, yes He knows all.////FROM JACK:  Those who believe that God is in everything are called, Pantheists.  What you seem to be saying is what many Christians believe....that in, baptism, the Spirit of God comes to us to guide and protect us.

   FROM ILLINOIS LIZ:  "Like"////FROM JACK:  Do you "like" and can you sing, "The itsy bitsy spider?" ////LIZ:  We have wolf spiders as big as the palm of my hand here... one was on the top of my laundry pile as I was gathering it up one time. I looked straight into his eight eyes and we both screamed!   The outside is theirs, but once they cross the threshold, they're dead.////JACK:  Maybe you can make up a song about the big bad wolf spider.

 FROM SHARIN' SHARON:
Why should I feel discouraged,
Why should the shadows come?
Why should my heart be lonely,
And long for heaven and home?
When Jesus is my portion,
My constant friend is He;
His eye is on the sparrow and I know He watches me.
His eye is on the sparrow and I
know He watches me.

I sing because I'm happy, I sing because I'm free.
For His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.

Let not your heart be troubled,
His tender words I hear;
And resting on His goodness,
I lose my doubt and fear.
Though by the path He leadeth,
But one step I may see;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.

Whenever I am tempted,
Whenever clouds arise;
When song gives place to sighing,
When hope within me dies.
I draw the closer to Him,
From care He sets me free;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.
////FROM JACK:  I like that song.  I wonder if you could substitute "mousie" for "sparrow?"

 FROM MS IN MICHIGAN:  I’m printing your e-mail  to keep a constant reminder of that!////FROM JACK: We could all print several copies and "scotch tape" them in various places, starting with the TV remote.
