Jack’s Winning Words 3/1/16
“Life is full of obstacle illusions.”  (Grant Frazier)  God knew what he was doing when he created the amygdala, that little part of the brain that determines decisions based on what is sensed…fight or flight, for example.  The amygdala can be trained to see false fears, enabling us to do what we think we can’t do.  God has also created a spirit within us, a spirit to know the truth.  “Fear not, I am with you always!”  My God and I…We shall overcome.    ;-)  Jack

FROM BLAZING OAKS:  The National Geographic magazine (Feb) has a fascinating story on EYES in various animals and humans, and how their particular eye-sense enables them to sense objects, dangers, movement, etc. Even the Box Jelly which has no brain, has 24 eyes, 6 in groups of 4, some of which are "surprisingly sophisticated ..What a world God has created, and we'll never know one percent of it, while living on Earth!! Mind-boggling!====JACK:  I learned something new today.  I always thought that box jelly was J-E-L-L-O!

FROM CHESTER THE GOOD:  Also known as a a "gut feeling." Never thought about the real science of it. God is a great designer.====JACK:  I've read that women have better intuitive skills than men, but that doesn't mean bigger guts.
